With Minister Tran Hong Minh and the Ministry of Transport, the Prime Minister requested to continue to deploy and complete important national and key projects, especially the basic completion of the Long Thanh airport project in 2025. The Prime Minister also asked the two Ministers and the Government to effectively perform the task of reviewing, arranging, streamlining the apparatus, and reducing staff; and to do a better job in preventing corruption, negativity, and waste. Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang and Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh both emphasized that the newly assigned responsibilities are a great honor, but also a very heavy responsibility before the Party, the State and the people. In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution approving the appointment of Minister of Finance and Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Van Thang and Mr. Tran Hong Minh, with 452/452 delegates participating in the vote in favor, accounting for 94.36% of the total number of National Assembly delegates.
