At 11:00 p.m. on November 19 (local time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, arrived in the Dominican Republic, beginning an official visit to the country, after successfully concluding a working trip to the G20 Brazil.
After about 6 hours of flying from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), the plane landed at Las Americas airport, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Currently, economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Dominica are still quite modest. Two-way trade in 2022 reached 150.2 million USD, up 16.6% over the same period in 2021; 95.8 million USD in 2023; 56 million USD in the first 9 months of 2024.
Dominica highly appreciates Vietnam’s achievements and position in connecting the country with Southeast Asia and Asia. The two countries are discussing the possibility of negotiating cooperation agreements on tourism, investment promotion and protection, and science and technology.

South Africa takes over the G20 Presidency for 2025 from Brazil, with the theme of next year's G20 expected to be "Promoting Solidarity, Equality and Sustainable Development".
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's participation and responsible contribution at the conference were highly appreciated by G20 countries and guests, demonstrating Vietnam's growing stature, role, prestige and international position in addressing global challenges.
