Promoting cooperation between Thuyloi University and Greek universities

Thuyloi University hopes that the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece will support the school in connecting with universities to promote cooperation in education and research.

Delegation of Thuyloi University worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece.

From February 25 to March 1, a delegation from the University of Water Resources led by Professor, Dr. Trinh Minh Thu, Principal of the University, visited and worked in Greece.

During the meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece, the School Principal introduced the school's strengths in training and research as well as international cooperation and training links between the school and partners in the US, Europe, Asia, etc.

In addition to the focus on signing a cooperation agreement with the University of Patras during this working trip, the School hopes that the Embassy will pay attention to and support the School in connecting with universities and businesses to promote cooperation in student exchange, internships, research cooperation, etc.

Congratulating the achievements and strong development of the University of Water Resources over the past time, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong said that in recent years, the diplomatic sector has identified supporting businesses, serving people; connecting and promoting international cooperation, in which supporting universities to strengthen international cooperation in education, training, and human resource development, is one of the key tasks.

According to the Ambassador, the cooperation direction of the University of Water Resources with Greece is appropriate, combining training with the supply of human resources, especially in the context of European countries including Greece lacking workers, especially in the agricultural sector.

Having more Vietnamese students studying, researching and working in Greece will contribute to building the Vietnamese community in Greece, thereby contributing to the common development of both countries.

Thuyloi University and Patras University signed a Memorandum of Understanding witnessed by the Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece.

Following the program, the delegation had a working session with the University of Patras, the third largest university in Greece. The two schools signed a Memorandum of Understanding witnessed by the Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong said that the cooperation between the two universities is especially meaningful as Vietnam and Greece celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in 2025.

The Ambassador believes that the Memorandum of Understanding will soon be effectively implemented, helping to open up many cooperation programs in research, training, and student exchange, thereby contributing to enhancing understanding, people-to-people exchange, cultural, economic and technological exchanges between the two countries.
