The program was attended by Ms. Do Ngoc Thuy, President of the Trade Union, officials, civil servants, employees and workers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On the Indian side, there were Dr. Monica Sharma, Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center Hanoi ; Dr. Mandala Tejaswi, Indian culture teacher, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center Hanoi.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Trade Union Chairman Do Ngoc Thuy said that the Yoga performance to celebrate the 11th International Yoga Day is one of a series of exchange activities between officials, civil servants and public employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic agencies in Hanoi, towards the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Diplomatic sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).

Trade Union Chairman Do Ngoc Thuy sent congratulations to the Embassy of India in Vietnam on the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, the homeland of the sport and art that connects millions of people around the world.
This year's International Yoga Day theme is "Yoga for One Earth, One Health" which affirms the connection between personal health and the natural environment and the quality of life of the wider community.
Yoga performance is also an opportunity to practice and deeply understand humanistic philosophies, improve physical and mental health, and reach new values of health and long-term happiness.
Dr. Monica Sharma, Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi, sent her warm greetings and thanks to the enthusiastic response of the diplomatic officials participating in the performance to celebrate the 11th International Yoga Day.
According to Ms. Sharma, since 2014, the United Nations General Assembly has chosen June 21 as International Yoga Day at the request of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to honor the benefits of Yoga for human health, encourage the practice of this subject worldwide to prevent diseases and help unite the community.

Ms. Sharma also thanked Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in particular for coordinating and supporting the Indian Embassy in organizing today's commemorative event.
This event contributes to strengthening the friendship, cooperation and cultural exchange between Vietnam and India, and at the same time hopes to spread a positive and peaceful lifestyle with the habit of exercising and playing sports to balance the mind and relieve stress in life.
At the end of the opening ceremony, President of the Trade Union Do Ngoc Thuy, Dr. Monica Sharma and Dr. Mandala Tejaswi performed the lamp lighting ceremony.

The ritual of lighting a lamp in Indian culture as well as in Yoga philosophy implies that light is a traditional lamp with profound meaning, it is the light of wisdom, of awareness and peace.
The lamp lighting ceremony is not only the beginning of a sacred thing, but also represents the desire for connection between people, between the physical and the spiritual.
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Mandala Tejaswi and the officers and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs entered the Yoga performance.
