This is also one of the events implemented within the framework of the Australian Government 's Landing Pad initiative, with the aim of promoting bilateral cooperation between Australia and Vietnam in the fields of technology and digital transformation.
With 16 Australian Edtech businesses participating along with representatives of Australian state and territory governments, this event marks the program to welcome the largest delegation of Australian Edtech businesses to visit and work in the Vietnamese market, demonstrating the increasingly deep cooperation relationship between Australia and Vietnam.
After the successful opening day in Ho Chi Minh City, with a seminar on digital transformation in education attended by management agencies, universities and high schools, the business delegation moved to Hanoi to attend a seminar for university students at BKHUP (Creative Space of Hanoi University of Science and Technology), co-organized with the Vietnam Network of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Higher Education (VNEI).

Within the framework of the workshop in Hanoi , delegates from both sides focused on discussing suitable cooperation models to improve the quality of teaching and learning at the secondary level through the application of technology and advanced solutions from Australia.
On this occasion, Ms. Gillian Bird, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, who always emphasized that education has long been one of the most important pillars in the cooperative relationship between the two countries, also attended and spoke at the conference.
According to the Ambassador, in the context that Vietnam is implementing major educational reforms to promote digital transformation, positioning the country as a leading destination for innovative educational technology cooperation, this event has provided the Vietnamese digital education ecosystem with useful information about Australia's edtech capabilities, especially in three areas: learning management systems (LMS), lesson design and student assessment tools, and English, STEM and life skills education programs.
The delegation included prestigious international names such as Canva - a global visual communications platform and Moodle - a pioneer in open source learning management systems.

Earlier, speaking at the opening session of the conference on October 23 in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Jonathan Saw, Trade and Investment Counselor of the Australian Government, shared: Australian Edtech businesses are recognized globally for their creativity, quality and reliability. From learning platforms using artificial intelligence to advanced classroom solutions, these businesses are contributing to shaping the future of global education.
“With Vietnam’s strong policy commitment and rapid pace of digital transformation, we have a solid foundation to create changes of scale and lasting significance,” said Mr. Jonathan Saw.
The delegation's activities have concluded successfully, marking a new step forward in cooperation between the two countries. Both sides are working together to open up many new cooperation opportunities to promote digital transformation in Vietnam's education, thereby affirming their shared commitment to building an innovative, connected and future-ready education system.
Landing Pad is an Australian Government initiative to support export-ready Australian technology businesses to expand into international markets. Launched in 2017, Landing Pad is now available in Singapore, Bengaluru, Shanghai, London, San Francisco, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City.
Landing Pad Vietnam was launched in June 2024, within the framework of the Southeast Asia Business Exchange program - “Partnering for a Digital Future”, following the announcement of the Australian Prime Minister at the ASEAN-Australia Summit in Melbourne on March 5, 2024.
