Taking place from September 12 to September 16 at Café Promenade, Daewoo Hotel Hanoi, the Malaysian Food Week will introduce the colorful culinary flavors and culture of Malaysia to Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam Dato' Tan Yang Thai said that during the week, Daewoo Hotel Hanoi will serve a separate menu each day to bring the original flavors of various Malaysian dishes. The menus are created by famous guest chef from Malaysia, Azlan Juri, and other chefs of the hotel.

Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam Dato' Tan Yang Thai delivered the opening speech.

With the motto that cuisine is not only providing food but also an experience that brings people together, tells stories and creates memories, the Malaysian Embassy wishes to promote a deeper relationship between Vietnam and Malaysia through this event.

At the opening ceremony, renowned guest chef Azlan Juri from Malaysia personally prepared and cooked traditional dishes, giving food lovers the opportunity to experience authentic Malaysian flavors.

In addition, diners can also explore the cultural beauty of this Southeast Asian country through traditional and contemporary dance performances from artists from Malaysia, along with many interesting exchange activities and exhibitions.

Throughout the week celebrating Malaysian cuisine, Café Promenade restaurant will serve lunch and dinner buffets with exquisite menus created by Chef Azlan and the talented culinary team of Hanoi Daewoo Hotel.

Malaysian signature dishes

The menu brings together dishes known as "national treasures" of Malaysian cuisine such as Nasi Lemak rice with rich dried fish, roasted peanuts and coconut milk for a spicy and rich flavor, spicy and hot Laksa Nyonya curry, Roti Canai - a favorite Malaysian street food with irresistible deliciousness, Daging Rendang Tok beef or Mamak Rojak mixed dish.
