DTO - Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 34 dated April 10, 2025 on promoting tourism development, ensuring double-digit economic growth (abbreviated as Official Dispatch No. 34); The Provincial People's Committee requests provincial departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts and cities, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to proactively propagate, disseminate and implement Official Dispatch No. 34.
Promote tourism development, contribute to building the image of Dong Thap province
Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism urgently advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Plan to implement the tasks in Official Dispatch No. 34 in accordance with practical conditions (to be completed before April 30, 2025). Continue to effectively implement the tasks and solutions in Plan No. 61 dated February 15, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Conclusion No. 249 of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting tourism development, contributing to building the image of Dong Thap province in the period of 2021 - 2025; policies to support investment in tourism development in the province and the Tourism Development Project, contributing to building the image of Dong Thap province in the period of 2023 - 2025 and orientation to 2030.
At the same time, strengthen linkages to effectively promote the province's strengths, distinct advantages, and outstanding features in developing typical tourism products; focus on increasing the brand value of tourism products. Coordinate with the Provincial Center for Trade, Tourism and Investment Promotion to effectively implement tasks and solutions to promote tourism promotion, proactively implement the Tourism Development Stimulus Program in 2025 and the following years. Strengthen destination management, step up inspection and control of tourism service quality and destination environment, strictly handle violations to create a synchronous, safe, civilized, and friendly tourism environment. Regularly urge, inspect, and supervise the implementation; promptly synthesize, report, and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve difficulties and problems in the implementation process.
The Provincial Center for Trade, Tourism and Investment Promotion presides over and coordinates with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize tourism promotion activities and call for investment in the tourism sector. Advise and propose solutions to innovate the content and form of appropriate promotion and advertising; promote social resources to participate in promotion and advertising activities. Support and facilitate tourism businesses, tourist areas, agricultural tourism business households, community tourism to introduce and promote tourism products and services at tourism fairs, events, cultural and tourism festivals inside and outside the province and link with the tourism product system of the Mekong Delta region to attract visitors to experience tourism in Dong Thap. Develop documents and video clips to promote tourism; develop digital maps and documents guiding digital transformation in tourism activities.
The People's Committees of districts and cities shall strengthen state management of tourism and management of tourist destinations in the area; promote propaganda on civilized tourist behavior in tourist areas and spots, ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, food safety, list prices and sell at the right price, prevent stalking and fraud of tourists; establish and publicize a multilingual hotline to receive and handle tourists' feedback; promptly inspect, detect, prevent and strictly handle violations of the law in the field of tourism; have specific solutions to call for investment in local tourism along with focusing on implementing tourism planning, ensuring compliance with the province's general planning, suitable to the actual conditions of each locality...
By 2025, organize and mobilize restaurants and eateries to implement electronic payments initiated from cash registers. In the following years, 100% will implement electronic payments; if not, the license will be revoked or the business will be banned. Continue to develop and select typical and unique tourism products of the locality to exploit and develop tourism; strengthen propaganda, promotion, and introduction of existing tourism products and new tourism products; promote regional linkages, linkages between travel agencies and tourism businesses, creating conditions for companies and businesses to sell local tourism products to domestic and foreign tourists. |
