Promoting tourism development between Vietnam and Guangxi (China)

The Guangxi Culture and Tourism Development Conference is part of the Guangxi Culture and Tourism Development Fair, which took place from November 18 to November 20, organized by the Department of Culture of Nanning Tourism Radio and Television. The Vietnamese delegation attending the event included representatives of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, travel agencies, and media agencies.

According to information from the conference, Guangxi province plans to open a number of direct flights from Nanning city to many countries. For Vietnam, there will be direct flights from Nanning to Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh city, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa).

To stimulate tourism and promote the return of international visitors, Guangxi province has launched many new products. For the Vietnamese market, Chinese tourism agencies have developed a 4-day product to explore many new destinations, in which Nanning city, Zhuang autonomous region is an emerging destination sought by many tourists.

The conference also witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between Chinese enterprises and enterprises from several countries in the ASEAN region. In particular, Hon Gai Tourism and Service Joint Stock Company (Vietnam) signed a cooperation agreement with Van Duc International Travel Company Limited (Guangxi).

Immediately after the signing ceremony, answering the Hanoi Moi Newspaper, General Director of Hon Gai Tourism and Service Joint Stock Company Do Xuan Ngoan said that the new tourism policy in Guangxi province and the signed tourism cooperation agreement will open up many favorable conditions to promote the development of international visitors between China and Vietnam by both air and road. After China opened its doors to international visitors, some road tours through the Huu Nghi international border gate (Lang Son), Mong Cai (Quang Ninh) began to have many group bookings.

Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, Deputy Head of the Tourism Management Department (Hanoi Department of Tourism) Nguyen Trong Hoa said that in recent years, China has always been the leading market sending visitors to Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general. Particularly for the capital Hanoi, in the first 10 months of 2023, the number of Chinese tourists arriving reached nearly 210,000 with stays, accounting for nearly 10% of the total number of international visitors with stays.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese delegation surveyed many attractive tourist destinations in Nanning province, such as: Thanh Tu Son Park, Guangxi Provincial Museum, night tourist attractions...
