Relocating power grid projects affected by key transportation projects

- On the morning of April 2, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long chaired an online conference with 22 provinces on the implementation of relocating power grid projects affected by important national projects and key projects in the transport sector.

Chairing the conference at Tuyen Quang bridge point were leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade; attending the conference were leaders of departments and branches of the province.

Speaking at the conference, the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade reported: Tuyen Quang is currently implementing the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway project (phase 1) with a total length of 77km, with a total investment of 8,800 billion VND. During the project implementation, it is necessary to move technical infrastructure, move 110kV, 35kV, 0.4kV, 220kV power lines and transformer stations to construct the expressway and it is divided into 3 phases.

In which, the first phase of moving 35kV, 0.4kV lines, transformer stations includes 80 35kV line locations, 5 transformer station locations, 60 0.4kV line locations. The relocation has started since March 6, up to now, concrete has been poured for the foundation of 35kV line poles at 43/80 locations, transformer stations at 4/5 locations, 0.4kV lines at 23/60 locations, and the relocation is expected to be completed before May 15.

Phase 2, construction of 110kV, 0.4kV transmission lines includes 1 110kV line location and 80 0.4kV line locations. Currently, the Project Management Board for Transport Construction Investment is organizing the selection of contractors and consultants to supervise the construction of 110kV, 0.4kV transmission lines. It is expected that the selection of contractors will be completed and the construction will begin on April 10 and be completed in May 2025.

Phase 3, including 1 220kV line location, 2 110kV line locations must be moved to ensure safety and technical assurance. Currently, the Project Management Board has completed the selection of contractors, prepared an adjusted feasibility study report, is surveying, preparing a dossier for the adjusted feasibility study report, expected to be approved in April 2025.

After the Decision approving the adjusted Investment Project, the Project Management Board will organize the selection of a survey unit, prepare a design file for construction drawings and relocate the 220kV and 110kV power lines according to regulations; Expected to submit for appraisal and approval in May 2025, select a construction unit and supervision consultant in June 2025, and implement construction from July to August 2025.

The implementation of moving power lines affected by the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project (Phase 1) through Tuyen Quang province has not encountered any difficulties or problems. The Investor is implementing in accordance with regulations, ensuring progress.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long acknowledged and commended localities for proactively implementing key national projects according to schedule and plans, including projects related to the electricity sector. He requested that localities, if there are any problems during the implementation process, immediately report to central ministries and branches for resolution, all for the goal of completing the 3,000 km expressway plan this year...
