Unanimously recognized 9 communes meeting NTM, advanced NTM, and model NTM standards

Comrade Nguyen The Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Appraisal Council to consider and recognize communes meeting the standards of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas in the area for the period 2022-2025. Attending the meeting were members of the Appraisal Council; leaders of Son Duong, Ham Yen districts and Tuyen Quang city.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment - Standing Agency of the Steering Committee of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in the province, 6 target communes achieving New Rural Construction include: Yen Thuan, Bang Coc, Yen Lam (Ham Yen); Binh Yen, Luong Thien, Trung Yen (Son Duong) communes have completed 19/19 criteria in the set of criteria for new rural construction; the communes have no outstanding debts in basic construction; over 92.8% of households in the area surveyed are satisfied with the results of new rural construction.

With 3 target communes achieving advanced NTM, model NTM, namely Thai Hoa commune (Ham Yen); Trang Da, Luong Vuong commune (Tuyen Quang city), there have been remarkable steps forward in improving the quality of criteria. Typically, there is the strong development of highly effective economic models, application of science and technology in production, increasing sustainable income for people. The leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment presented a report on the results of the dossier appraisal.

After a thorough discussion and assessment of the criteria, the Assessment Council conducted a vote to recognize the target communes as meeting the standards of New Rural Area, Advanced New Rural Area and Model New Rural Area. The result was that 100% of the members agreed to recognize 6 communes meeting the standards of New Rural Area, recognized Thai Hoa commune (Ham Yen) as meeting the standards of Advanced New Rural Area; recognized 2 communes Trang Da and Luong Vuong (Tuyen Quang City) as meeting the standards of Model New Rural Area.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen The Giang acknowledged and commended the efforts of local Party committees, authorities and people in the process of building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas. He emphasized that achieving new rural areas, advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas is not only the goal of completing the targets but also an important premise to continue to improve the quality of life of rural people in a sustainable manner.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that districts and cities accelerate the completion of criteria for new rural construction for communes that have not yet completed them; departments and branches proactively support districts in assessing criteria to complete supporting documents, ensuring that they meet standards according to the set plan. Communes that have been voted by the Council will be proposed to the Provincial People's Committee for recognition before May 20.
