500 disabled people and orphans in Dong Tho commune receive livelihood support

- On the morning of May 8, in Dong Tho commune (Son Duong), the Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans held a conference to summarize the Project on Health Care, Support for Living and Livelihood for People with Disabilities, Orphans and People in Difficult Circumstances in Dong Tho commune.

The Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans gives gifts to disadvantaged people in Dong Tho commune (Son Duong).

After one year of implementation, the Project has completed the contents of support for disadvantaged groups in the commune with a total budget and material resources converted into cash of over 523 million VND for over 500 people. Of which, 240 people received free medical examination and treatment; built a new house, donated 17 wheelchairs, 9 households received support for the construction of sanitary facilities, 10 households received capital support for livestock raising and service provision; donated 30 bicycles, 15 scholarships, 200 gifts to students and people with disabilities, etc.

On this occasion, the Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 groups and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Project; presented 15 gifts, each worth 300,000 VND to people with disabilities, orphans and people in difficult circumstances in Dong Tho commune.
