The program to share business strategies and connect cross-border trade took place on March 29 at the KIDO Group office (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), attracting a delegation of international traders and visitors.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the sidelines of the program, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Deputy Head of the Trade Management Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade - shared that e-commerce is developing very strongly, creating great values ​​but also bringing with it countless challenges for Vietnamese businesses. Businesses that are not ready or not capable enough to enter this industry will be at great risk of falling behind.

During a business trip at the end of last year, he had the opportunity to meet many businesses in Hangzhou (China). He was impressed when the owner of a large factory boasted: What is important to them is not how many containers they export, but how many millions of online orders are sold.

"That is a huge difference in business thinking. We really hope that Vietnamese businesses will quickly approach and absorb this trend," Mr. Hung emphasized.

Accordingly, to promote domestic and cross-border e-commerce, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade has connected large Vietnamese enterprises in the goods manufacturing and distribution industry with enterprises from Singapore, China, Malaysia, etc.

This meeting brings opportunities to export goods between countries through cross-border e-commerce channels, access to technology solutions, artificial intelligence (AI)... to make sales activities more effective.
