( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of December 27, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense held a conference to review the technical work of the entire army in 2024. Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc, Director of the General Department of Engineering; representatives of the General Department of Engineering, and commanders of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense.
At the conference, delegates focused on clarifying the results, shortcomings, difficulties and obstacles; at the same time, proposed solutions to improve the quality of technical work, the 50 Movement and occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) work in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh praised and acknowledged the efforts of technical specialties as well as the entire military's technical sector to comprehensively complete assigned tasks, contributing to effectively serving training, combat readiness, dealing with non-traditional security challenges, protecting national sovereignty , and focusing on socio-economic development.
Summarizing the world and regional situation, advantages, difficulties, characteristics, and situations related to military and defense tasks in general and technical work in particular, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh requested the entire military's Technical Sector to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the directives and resolutions of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense. Advise the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, Party committees, and commanders at all levels to deploy technical work tasks closely, correctly, promptly, and effectively. Proactively develop and synchronously and effectively implement resolutions, conclusions, projects, programs, and plans of the Central Military Commission on technical work.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh also requested agencies and units to strictly maintain the technical work regime and order; focus on ensuring good quality and synchronous technical equipment for units performing training, combat readiness, search and rescue, participating in parades and marches in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification; the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; strictly maintain the technical work regime and order; ensure the safety of warehouses, stations and workshops of the entire army. In 2024, the Army Engineering sector has thoroughly grasped and comprehensively deployed technical tasks in accordance with the Technical Work Order of the Ministry of National Defense. Notably, it has ensured good quality and synchronous technical equipment for units performing training, combat readiness, drills, search and rescue, and protecting important national events. Reported to the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of National Defense Equipment Council, and the Central Military Commission to approve many projects, plans, and strategic contents on technical work. Well implemented the plan to ensure technical equipment and weapons, completed packaging, issued and exchanged weapons for units, and took inventory of technical equipment and weapons, and technical supplies at 0:00 on January 1, 2024.
