Impressive green message presentation at “English Window”

2 teams compete in episode 9 of the program "English Window" season 2.

Episode 9 of the program “English Window” season 2 just took place, bringing a dramatic and inspiring match between two teams from My Chau Secondary School (Thach Ha district) and Dan Truong Hoi Secondary School (Nghi Xuan district). Not only a knowledge competition, the program is also a playground to help students practice thinking, language skills and convey meaningful social messages.

In the first round of the competition "Quick Eyes", both teams demonstrated good reflexes and rich English vocabulary when they correctly answered all 10 questions requiring them to arrange letters into meaningful English words.

However, My Chau Secondary School team surpassed with 7 correct answers, scoring 35 points. Meanwhile, Dan Truong Hoi Secondary School team scored 3 correct answers, winning 15 points.

In the second round “Quick Mind”, the teams took turns presenting in English around the topic: “Environmental protection – Small actions, big impact” . This was an opportunity for the contestants to demonstrate their courage, understanding and creative thinking in front of the judges and the audience.

The My Chau Secondary School team gave a convincing presentation on “Environmental challenges and how we can solve them”. The students proposed many practical actions such as keeping the living space clean, cleaning the classroom when coming to school; proactively picking up trash in public places; helping neighbors clean up their yards and participating in tree planting activities. The presentation received high praise from the Jury, helping the team score 29 more points, bringing the total score to 64.

The Dan Truong Hoi Secondary School team focused on the topic of saving energy and natural resources. The solutions proposed included using recycled materials, saving water, prioritizing environmentally friendly products and limiting the use of plastic and nylon packaging. With a clear and logical presentation, the team scored 28 points, bringing the total score to 43.

After the "For the audience" round, the two teams returned to the final round "Quick hands". The teams turned over 6 parts of a picture corresponding to 6 questions. My Chau Secondary School team answered 1/6 questions correctly, earning 10 more points. Dan Truong Hoi Secondary School team answered 2/6 questions correctly, scoring 20 more points.

However, both teams could not solve the crossword keyword related to the time frame of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team (1941).

With a total score of 74, My Chau Secondary School team won the final and officially entered the quarter-finals of “English Window” season 2. Although they did not win a ticket to continue, Dan Truong Hoi Secondary School team still left a good impression with their confidence, enthusiasm and team spirit.
