Villages and streets are submerged in water; people cry for help during the floods and need support after the disaster has passed. The sense of responsibility to share is not exclusive to anyone. In recent days, together with agencies, organizations, and people across the country, the sports community has devoted a lot of love, effort, and money to relief efforts for the people of Central Vietnam.
Since the beginning of November 2025, when many provinces and cities were continuously affected by storms and floods, 20-year-old overseas Vietnamese tennis player Duong Thien Quang (aka Quang Duong) has repeatedly moved the Vietnamese pickleball community. Not only did he regularly update the storm and flood situation in the Central region, especially in his hometown Khanh Hoa , on his personal social networking site, he also mobilized donations with all urgency.
Quang Duong organized an auction for the first PPA gold medal in his career, recording his achievement of defeating the famous tennis players Ben John, bringing in 250 million VND. Adding his own money and contributions from friends and relatives, he transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province the amount of nearly 840 million VND.
The storm and flood had not yet subsided, on the morning of November 23, Quang Duong continued to transfer his personal amount of 100 million VND to Khanh Hoa province, and at the same time called on everyone to continue to open their hearts and share with their fellow countrymen in difficult situations. The relief amount of around 1 billion VND not only shows Quang Duong's personal influence but also shows the trust that the community has in this young man's pure heart.
Even though he is far away, Quang Duong and his family still choose to stay connected to their homeland through quiet but meaningful actions. People feel in him not only a spirit of volunteerism, but also a desire to do something for his homeland - a place where he has never lived fully but always looks back to with all his love.

Meanwhile, from Buon Ma Thuot - Dak Lak, although he was urgently implementing the program "Searching for the strongest person in Vietnam", former boxer Truong Dinh Hoang still ignored everything to start the relief work. After only a few days, he mobilized friends, relatives and people to contribute over 100 million VND and 20 tons of goods worth 200 million VND, urgently delivered to the people in Phu Yen, which has suffered a lot of damage in recent times.
Former track and field athlete Do Thi Thao (Hoang’s wife) said that there have been many trucks carrying goods heading to Phu Yen in the past 2-3 days. The martial arts studio of Hoang and Thao in Buon Ma Thuot, which is hundreds of square meters in size, is now being used as a place to gather relief goods brought by people.
Clothes, necessities, food… were brought in urgently but it seems that it is not enough compared to the needs of the people in the Central region. Many items are still being called for support by this sports couple, including finding sources of goods at cheap prices to help people worry less about their lives.
In addition to trucks and canoes carrying goods docking at the Phu Yen General Hospital and Phu Yen Children's Hospital, Mr. Hoang also contacted the 910 Air Force Regiment to transport relief goods to isolated areas to urgently deliver them to the people. The trucks carrying so much love and sharing will continue to be on the road in the coming days... Dong Linh
