Actively build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations

(CT) - In 2 days (June 19 and 20), the O Mon District Labor Federation solemnly held the 12th District Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.

Delegates took souvenir photos with the Executive Committee of the O Mon District Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term.

In the 2018-2023 term, the O Mon District Trade Union achieved and exceeded 13/13 targets set out in the Resolution. The work of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers has been promoted by all levels of the district trade unions. Every year, the District Labor Federation issues documents directing and guiding grassroots trade unions to coordinate with the authorities at the same level to organize conferences for cadres, civil servants, and labor conferences, achieving 100% in accordance with regulations. In the past 5 years, the District Labor Federation has built and repaired 49 Union Shelters with a total amount of over 1.6 billion VND from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund of the Trade Union in Can Tho and social mobilization sources; supported 149 union members and workers in difficult circumstances to borrow capital from the Capital Assistance Fund of the Can Tho City Labor Federation with an amount of over 2 billion VND; donated 100 pairs of life buoys, 1,260 scholarships, and gifts to children of union members in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 351 million VND;... On holidays and anniversaries, grassroots unions proactively coordinate with authorities at the same level to organize emulation movements associated with many joyful and exciting cultural, artistic, and sports activities.

The 12th Congress of the O Mon District Trade Union, term 2023-2028, sets the goal of focusing on innovating the organization and operation of the trade union in a practical and effective direction, for union members and workers, towards the grassroots; performing well the function of caring for the lives, representing, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; actively building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations...

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the O Mon District Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term, consisting of 15 comrades. Comrade Trinh Thanh Liem was re-elected to the position.
