Besides, it also helps cooperatives learn from experience, find markets and product outputs, build brands, build OCOP products, gain experience in developing production and business cooperatives associated with the value chain...
Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative was established in September 2020, with a team of experienced and enthusiastic farmers. With the support of local authorities and professional organizations, the Cooperative has focused on main activities such as: Providing seedlings and agricultural materials; pineapple consumption; agricultural technical consulting services and building value-added product chains from local agricultural products. When it was first established, the Cooperative had 22 members, now the number of members of the Cooperative has increased to 52 people; of which 22 are women, accounting for 42.3%.
Over the years, Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative has affirmed its role as a typical model in developing a collective economy managed by women. With the spirit of innovation and creativity, the Cooperative has achieved many outstanding and remarkable results.
The cooperative not only organizes traditional agricultural production but also boldly implements the model of "Growing clean pineapple" associated with the value chain, creating jobs for local women. With the support of the Women's Union of Tan Hoa Dong commune, the cooperative has actively participated in consulting sessions, shared experiences, organized activities to improve business management knowledge, applied science and technology in production and put products on e-commerce platforms.
In particular, the project “Women’s group growing clean pineapple” implemented by Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative has helped many women in difficult circumstances access capital from the MOM Fund and the Social Policy Bank, with a total capital of nearly 900 million VND, of which 300 million VND is interest-free loan mobilized by the Provincial Women’s Union from the Ho Chi Minh City Women Entrepreneurs Association. Thanks to that, it has created conditions for 10 women members to develop a livelihood model within 2 years.
In addition, the model of “Silk from pineapple leaves” - a new initiative of Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative in 2025, has initially shown economic efficiency. After a trial period from January 2025 to present, the Cooperative has achieved a maximum output of 12 kg of fiber/day, bringing in revenue of 163 million VND. This is a potential direction in utilizing agricultural by-products, minimizing pollution, and at the same time creating environmentally friendly products, serving the textile industry.
Ms. Le Thi Bich Phuong, member of the Board of Management of Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative, said that with the desire to produce high-quality agricultural products, sell at high prices, ensure food hygiene and safety, and protect the health of consumers and producers, the Cooperative has built a model of "Growing clean pineapples" according to VietGap standards.
When participating in the model, cooperative members will be trained in technology transfer, soil improvement process before planting, how to plant and care for pineapple trees at the right time, use the right type of organic fertilizer, especially not using fruit stimulants or chemical fertilizers during the tree care process.
In addition, since participating in growing clean pineapples, HVPN women have been equipped with more knowledge about organic composting techniques from manure, water hyacinth, and old pineapple plants to provide the plants with enough necessary nutrients to help them grow healthy and limit pests and diseases.
Currently, Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative is selecting and multiplying some Queen pineapple seedlings locally, serving the new planting needs of farmers. Pineapple seedlings are guaranteed to be disease-free, safe, and have strong vitality...
From there, enhance the reputation of the quality of local agricultural products, especially pineapples in the consumer market. With the goal of quality and profit, in the coming time, Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative will continue to maintain, improve the quality and supply pineapple products to markets outside the province such as Bach Hoa Xanh chain stores, supermarkets, beverage processing companies, cakes and jams...
PROMOTING THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
By participating in this study tour, the staff and HVPN learned how to develop the consumption market to have a stable output for the products. In addition, the women also shared how Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative maintains good links with farmers to increase the value of pineapple. With what they have learned, the HVPN women will apply it to the activities of the cooperatives and cooperative groups under their management to create the best products with the cooperative members and farmers to supply to the market.

Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien said that the Provincial Women's Union has developed a Plan to implement Project 01 in 2025 with key contents such as: Strengthening propaganda work, raising awareness for Union officials and Women's Union members about the role and benefits of participating in cooperative and cooperative group models; promoting the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity of women in the collective economy; improving the quality of operations of existing cooperatives, especially focusing on training management and operation skills for female cooperative leaders; reviewing and consolidating ineffective operating models; supporting cooperatives in applying science and technology, linking value chains, etc.
Organize activities to connect supply and demand, promote trade, study tours, support cooperatives to participate in OCOP, key products and e-commerce platforms. Strengthen coordination with sectors and localities, mobilize the participation of enterprises and international organizations, promote public-private partnerships to support the development of cooperative models managed by women.
Assessing the actual role of women in Tan Hoa Dong Cooperative, Vice Chairman of Tan Hoa Dong Commune People's Committee Bui Ke Binh said that with its activities, the Cooperative has oriented to support the development of disadvantaged women in pineapple production.
Along with that, with the spirit of “leaving no one behind”, the Party Committee and local authorities always pay special attention to supporting disadvantaged women groups. In the coming time, Tan Hoa Dong commune will focus on implementing synchronous and effective solutions to create the best conditions for women to participate in production and business activities, increase income and improve their lives.
Specifically, increasing access to capital with preferential interest rates, simple and quick procedures; mobilizing businesses and philanthropists to support capital, seeds and materials for women; improving knowledge and production skills; connecting product consumption markets, expanding pineapple product consumption markets for people.
In addition, support the development of effective production models, including pineapple production models in a safe and sustainable direction, applying VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards... to increase product value.
Through the experience sharing activities in managing and operating the KTTT model, cadres and members of the Women's Unions of districts, towns and cities in the province had the opportunity to directly access the actual model, exchange, listen and learn together valuable lessons in developing KTTT. This is also an opportunity for the provincial Women's Unions at all levels to connect, expand the cooperation network, and support each other in the process of implementing Project 01 locally.
