(ABO) On the morning of May 20, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province held a working session with Heineken Vietnam Brewery Company Limited. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Vinh chaired the meeting; also attending were Mr. Wietse Mutters, CEO of Heineken Vietnam and representatives of provincial departments, agencies and branches.

To date, Heineken Group has become the largest Dutch investor in Vietnam with a total investment of more than 1 billion EUR and will continue to invest more from now until 2030 as a commitment to accompany Vietnam for sustainable development.

In 2023 alone, the joint venture contributed the equivalent of 0.5% of the country's total GDP, created 172,500 jobs in the entire value chain and was one of the enterprises contributing the most tax to the state budget for many consecutive years, contributing 2.1% to the total national tax revenue, equivalent to VND 33,000 billion in tax contributions to the State in the entire value chain.

Regarding budget contributions in Tien Giang province, Heineken Vietnam has been the leading budget contributor in Tien Giang for many consecutive years. In 2024, budget contributions to the province will reach VND 2,843 billion, an increase of 7.2% compared to 2023, accounting for about 24% of the province's total budget revenue.

In addition, at the meeting, the company representative also informed about the difficulties, obstacles and recommendations on the following contents: Regarding ensuring a transparent and stable business environment; on land management; on supporting strategic partners in the supply chain.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Vinh emphasized that Heineken Vietnam Brewery Company Limited is one of the large FDI enterprises, as well as a major contributor to the provincial budget; the company's operations always comply with Vietnamese laws: on the environment, social insurance for employees, many support policies for employees, at the same time creating jobs for workers in the province and together with the province actively implementing social security work, especially supporting poor households.

In the coming time, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Vinh hopes that the company will continue to invest, produce and do business in the direction of expanding its scale, possibly investing in additional factories in the province. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee as well as departments, branches and sectors will create favorable conditions and support to remove difficulties and obstacles for the company to continue to develop.
