Tien Giang: Focus on urging disbursement of public investment capital

The total value of public investment disbursement by April is estimated at over VND 1,671 billion, reaching 23.9% of the plan. During the month, the province attracted 3 new projects with registered capital of over VND 694 billion; 2 projects increased capital, with registered capital increased by VND 12.78 billion. The total investment capital attracted in the first 4 months of the year reached VND 3,378 billion, 2.1 times higher than the same period in 2024.

The total number of newly established enterprises in April was 94, with a total registered capital of VND 835 billion (an increase of 42.42% in the number of enterprises and an increase of 84.4% in registered capital compared to April 2024). In the first 4 months of 2025, the whole province had 368 newly established enterprises with a registered capital of VND 2,433 billion, reaching 40% of the 2025 plan.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Van Vinh said that the socio -economic development situation in April and the first four months of the year has generally achieved positive results. The key targets and tasks were fully and promptly implemented and achieved good results. Many targets met and exceeded the set plan.

Comrade Nguyen Van Vinh requested the Provincial People's Committee Office to synthesize opinions from departments, branches and localities, especially the opinion of the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Van Vinh requested that in the coming time, departments, branches and localities strengthen discipline and administrative order; unit heads must strictly implement and set an example; do a good job of ideological work for cadres, civil servants and public employees to maintain the spirit and determination to complete socio-economic targets in 2025.

Regarding the arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels, the Department of Home Affairs coordinates with units and localities to advise the Provincial People's Committee on the contents of the dossiers of the Projects on the arrangement of administrative units when there are instructions from the Central Government; advises on the arrangement and consolidation of the apparatus according to regulations.

Departments, branches and localities strictly implement Plan 70 of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee on achieving the economic growth target of 8% or more; must re-evaluate the socio-economic situation in 4 months to develop a new growth scenario in the second quarter and the last months of the year. The Department of Finance proactively advises the Provincial People's Committee to issue a new growth scenario.

In the agricultural sector, the Department of Agriculture and Environment proactively conducts activities to prepare for the launching ceremony of the province completing the task of building new rural areas when the Prime Minister issues a decision to recognize it; proactively monitors the weather situation to have solutions for prevention and control.

Localities and relevant units focus on accelerating the implementation progress of Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Binh Dong...; focus on urging the disbursement of public investment capital; continue to monitor and manage tax revenue sources...
