At the conference, representatives of the Central Citizen Reception Committee and the Government Inspectorate presented a report on citizen reception work from the eighth session of the 15th National Assembly to present; key tasks during the ninth session.
Accordingly, from December 16, 2024 to April 15, 2025, at the Headquarters of the Central Citizen Reception Committee, 1,632 visits with 4,496 citizens presented 1,445 cases, including: 693 complaints; 192 denunciations; 560 reflections and recommendations. The Central Citizen Reception Committee and the Government Inspectorate received 1,109 visits with 3,593 citizens filing complaints on 976 cases; the National Assembly 's Committee for Petitions and Supervision received 423 visits/373 cases...
In particular, implementing the pilot model of online citizen reception, the authorities have coordinated to receive citizens through the Central Citizen Reception Headquarters with a number of localities such as: Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Lang Son, Ca Mau , Thua Thien - Hue... Leaders of the Government Inspectorate, the Central Citizen Reception Committee and specialized departments directly receive citizens with leaders of the People's Committees of localities (provincial, district and departments and branches), thereby limiting citizens from gathering at central agencies.
To ensure good service for the ninth session and Party congresses at all levels, the Central Citizen Reception Committee requests agencies to propose and promptly and effectively advise on the periodic citizen reception work of the Government Inspector General, the Minister - Head of the Government Office, especially the implementation of the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government, the Prime Minister and the Government Inspector General on the settlement of mass, complicated and prolonged complaints and denunciations.
Units and localities promote coordination in grasping the situation of citizens' complaints, propagating and mobilizing citizens to return to their localities; strengthen state management in the field of receiving citizens, handling complaints, denunciations, reflections and recommendations. Localities continue to enhance the responsibility of Party leaders in receiving citizens, having direct dialogue with citizens and handling their reflections and recommendations; promptly handle newly arising cases for proactive resolution.
At the conference, representatives of the Department of Internal Security (Ministry of Public Security) provided more information on the security and order situation and the plan to ensure security and order during the ninth session; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for People's Aspirations and Supervision Lo Viet Phuong presented a report on the Draft Plan for organizing and coordinating citizen receptions to serve this session.
