
At the event, Chairman of the Vietnam Sepak Takraw Federation Le Hong Tinh acknowledged the athletes' training efforts and affirmed that Sepak Takraw has always been one of Vietnam's strong sports in the regional arena.
He emphasized that the whole team needs to maintain discipline, solidarity, compete with courage and maximize the prepared techniques and tactics. The Federation expects the team to defend its high rankings and aim to win more medals, contributing to raising the status of Vietnamese sports.
Coach of the Vietnam women's national sepak takraw team Tran Thi Vui stated that before the match, the athletes showed high determination, committed to competing with all their might, bringing beautiful matches and making efforts to bring glory to the Fatherland, while affirming the position of Vietnamese women's sepak takraw in the region.

The Vietnamese female sepak takraw athletes won the Gold Medal in the women's doubles at the 32nd SEA Games held in Cambodia; made a splash with two Gold Medals at the Asian Championship in China; and were crowned world champions in the 4-woman team event in Thailand. The pinnacle of that series of achievements was the Gold Medal at the 19th ASIAD (Hangzhou, China).
At the upcoming 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team aims to continue to promote its strengths in the 4-person team event, while improving its achievements in the 2-person and 3-person events to increase competitiveness and expand its chances of winning medals. The coaching staff determined that, in addition to maintaining the form of the pillars, giving the younger generation the opportunity to compete is also very important to create depth for the team in the future.
Also at the program, the Vietnam National Sepak Takraw Team and the Chinese Sepak Takraw Team had the opportunity to exchange and share competition experiences. At the same time, athletes were able to admire the beautiful scenery of the majestic Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Lake, experience cultural activities, and typical culinary tourism of the Muong and Dao ethnic groups. Thereby, strengthening solidarity, expanding cultural exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding and building the spirit of international sports.
