Receive and work with the ASEAN Research and Technology Cooperation Center

On the morning of May 20, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the ASEAN Research and Technology Cooperation Center to learn about the investment and business environment in the province.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed policies, potentials, strengths and areas in which Dong Thap is promoting investment attraction, especially the lotus industry. According to Mr. Yun Dae Sik - Director of the ASEAN Research and Technology Cooperation Center, through participating in the 2nd Dong Thap Lotus Festival in 2024, we can see the dynamism, creativity and innovative spirit of the provincial leaders. With these orientations, Dong Thap will go further in the coming time.

Contributing to the development of the lotus industry in the province, Mr. Yun Dae Sik said that in the future, the province needs to pay special attention to branding, design, and packaging. In addition, it should pay attention to the development of related industries to promote the development of the lotus industry.

Mr. Yun Dae Sik also said that the province needs to build a cooperation platform between Korean investment enterprises and enterprises in Dong Thap to create connections, learn, and make appropriate investments.

Sharing at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia said that in addition to lotus, Dong Thap currently has many industries with high potential for development such as tra fish, mango, ornamental flowers, fruit trees, etc. Currently, with the conditions of transportation, infrastructure, raw materials, and human resources of the province, all ensure sufficient conditions for cooperation with businesses in general, and Korean businesses in particular.

The Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee also said that Dong Thap is developing a plan to meet and promote Korean enterprises. The province hopes that the ASEAN Research and Technology Cooperation Center will be a bridge to introduce and connect Korean enterprises with the province in the near future.

In the spirit of mutual development, Mr. Yun Dae Sik happily said that the unit will support connecting Korean enterprises to learn about and invest in Dong Thap in the near future.

After the working session, the delegation of the ASEAN Research and Technology Cooperation Center came to survey the environment and investment at Tan Lap Industrial Cluster, Chau Thanh District.
