Border lessons help teachers and students understand territorial borders, arouse love for the homeland and country as well as the work of soldiers at the border.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard in coordination with A Ngo Primary and Secondary School, Dakrong District organized the program "Border Lesson" for 35 teachers and students at the border.
In this program, teachers and students of A Ngo Primary and Secondary School, along with officers and soldiers of La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station, cleaned the area and National Border Marker 635; and performed the flag-raising ceremony at the Sovereignty Marker.

In particular, teachers and students were informed by the officers of the La Lay International Border Gate Border Post about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on the management and protection of territorial sovereignty and national border security; the history and tradition of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day; the tradition of the Vietnam Border Guard, the Quang Tri Border Guard, as well as the tradition of the La Lay International Border Gate Border Post.
In addition, teachers and students of the school also listened to the history of the formation of the national border; the location and significance of the border system and national border markers; the importance of managing and protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security; visiting the campus, Ho Chi Minh room, traditional room, and the unit's production garden; participating in and experiencing the arrangement of blankets and mosquito nets in the army.
The above activities help teachers and students learn more about the life, activities, study, work, training, and border patrol activities of the Border Guard force in general and the La Lay International Border Gate Border Post in particular.

The Border Lesson Program not only contributes to arousing love for the homeland, country, national pride and self-respect, but also helps to disseminate and educate about border laws, military traditions, Border Guards, and National Defense Day.
From there, it helps to raise awareness, consciousness and responsibility of teachers and students in building, managing and protecting the sacred territorial sovereignty and national border security of the Fatherland.
