In 2024, Quang Truong commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the national criteria for commune health by 2030. The score in 2024 reached 91/100 points - one of the communes with the highest score in Quang Xuong district. Currently, Quang Truong Commune Health Station has synchronous and modern facilities and infrastructure, qualified to implement 100% of basic health service packages according to regulations of the Ministry of Health . The commune health station campus has an area of ​​up to 3,800m2, invested in building a new, spacious 2-storey building with a usable area of ​​366m2 and a level 4 building with an area of ​​100m2. The total number of functional rooms in the 2 buildings is 16 rooms, 8 clean and beautiful hospital beds. The station is equipped with necessary medical equipment in the list of medical equipment at the commune level according to regulations, meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment for people in the area.

With 1 general practitioner, 2 general practitioners, 2 obstetricians and pediatricians, the station has annually developed a specific plan for medical examination and treatment for the people. The staff are regularly trained to improve their professional skills, and are sent by the unit to study at the District General Hospital and classes organized by superior agencies.

Quang Truong Commune Health Station has also been approved by the Department of Health to implement 57 technical categories according to the basic health service package. The station has built a pharmacy that meets GPP standards with all essential medicines in the health insurance list, fully supplying to serve the people. At the same time, it has built and maintained a model garden of traditional medicine with over 70 types of medicinal plants according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, regularly instructing people to pick and use them to treat common diseases.

In order to effectively implement the health care programs for the people in the area, the commune health station has developed and issued a specific plan, coordinated with local organizations and unions to have a movement and periodically organize at least weekly environmental sanitation activities for households, village roads, alleys, and residential areas. Every year, the People's Committee of the commune also develops a health care plan for the people, accordingly, the station proactively organizes and coordinates with the Quang Xuong District Health Center and hospitals in the province to organize consultations and screening for diseases for people in the whole commune. Up to now, the health care work for the people has exceeded the set goals such as preventing infectious diseases; preventing common non-communicable diseases; health check-ups for the elderly; health check-ups for individuals and households doing food service business, selling groceries at home and in the market, health check-ups for students; organizing vaccinations, taking vitamin A and periodic deworming for children from 0 to 60 months old; Conduct military service examinations for young men of military service age. At the same time, organize and implement health target programs as deployed by superior health agencies.

The quality of health criteria here has also been improved when the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the commune were assigned to organize well propaganda activities, mobilizing local people to implement personal hygiene measures, environmental sanitation, disease prevention, launching and responding to the movement "5 no, 3 clean"; "clean house, model garden". At the same time, propaganda and mobilizing people to renovate the auxiliary works of households, use sanitary water storage equipment, use clean water from the centralized clean water system. Up to now, the rate of households with bathrooms, sanitary water storage equipment, safe toilets and ensuring "3 clean" in the area is 1,510 households/1,520 households, reaching 99.3%, higher than the average of Quang Xuong district by 1.5%.

In 2024, the commune implemented models of community health care, including the model of establishing electronic health records. The commune People's Committee directed the cultural committee and the commune radio station to propagate and disseminate information related to the district's electronic health record plan, activities to implement electronic health records at the commune health station, benefits of establishing personal electronic health records... By the end of 2024, the number of people participating in establishing electronic health records will reach 100% of the population in the commune.

With the methods and results achieved in the health sector, Quang Truong commune has been assessed by the member sectors of the Thanh Hoa Province Model New Rural Commune Assessment Council to meet health criteria with dozens of indicators meeting and exceeding requirements. Since then, the task of health care and medical examination and treatment for people in the commune has also been improved.
