In the Southeast region, pepper prices today are stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the price is still at 149,000 VND/kg; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today remain stable at 148,000 VND/kg.

At the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 7,191 USD/ton; the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at 7,125 USD/ton; the price of Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) ASTA at 7,500 USD/ton.

Muntok white pepper price is 9,157 USD/ton; Malaysian ASTA white pepper price is at 8,800 USD/ton.

In the future, when Black Thorn is harvested more, the price may drop like Musang King because this variety has large seeds, is not sweet, and does not have a strong flavor. However, Black Thorn has beautiful fruit and is less likely to be hard. When planting, farmers should determine from the beginning that the selling price is only equivalent to other types of durian.
