The Department of Health has just issued a document directing medical facilities to deploy solutions to ensure health care and protection for people and medical staff in hot conditions.
Accordingly, implementing Document No. 804/KCB-QLCL&CĐT dated June 3, 2025 of the Ministry of Health on health care for patients and medical staff at medical examination and treatment facilities during hot weather, the Ha Tinh Department of Health has requested medical examination and treatment facilities in the whole province to develop plans and solutions to ensure health care in response to the prolonged hot weather, especially focusing on ensuring enough clean water for the daily life of patients, their families and medical staff.

Strengthen propaganda and guidance for people on measures to ensure health, prevent sunstroke, heatstroke, drink enough water, limit outdoor work during peak hot times of the day and ensure hygienic food and drink.
The Department also requires medical facilities to ensure adequate emergency medicine, hospital beds, and emergency equipment to promptly handle common emergencies caused by unusually hot weather such as cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular accidents, heat stroke, respiratory and digestive diseases, etc.; strengthen triage, isolation, and prevention of cross-infection of infectious diseases at the unit; proactively plan to receive, handle, and treat summer diseases such as dengue fever, hand, foot, and mouth disease, meningitis caused by meningococcus, and common and emerging dangerous infectious diseases.

At the examination department, continue to maintain good implementation of the examination process according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health; review and arrange enough seats, add fans to ensure ventilation and coolness for patients while waiting for examination; install air conditioners (if possible); provide free drinking water for patients; arrange enough examination tables, arrange and improve the examination process reasonably, organize reception, quickly screen emergency patients to minimize patient waiting time.
In the treatment department, depending on specific conditions, the unit installs electric fans or air conditioners in necessary places to ensure that patients are treated in cool conditions, providing enough free drinking water and clean water for patients; not allowing or minimizing the situation of sharing beds; strengthening the work of triage, isolation, and infection control to prevent cross-infection of infectious diseases.
