Search for 10-year-old girl suspected of being swept away by floodwaters in city after heavy rain

Initial information, at around 1:30 pm today, May 24, N. (about 10 years old, residing in Quarter 2, Long Binh Ward) and a group of friends went out to bathe in the rain when they suddenly slipped and fell into the stream. The strong current swept her away, causing panic among her friends.

Upon receiving the news, the Bien Hoa Fire Fighting and Rescue Team under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police arrived at the scene with rescue forces and local police to search for the victims.

Search for victims is underway.

By the afternoon of the same day, the search was still underway along the stream. Heavy rain, complex terrain and strong currents made the rescue work difficult.

Authorities call on people to cooperate and provide information if they detect unusual signs related to the victim.
