Deepening solidarity, cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation

Attending the Conference were comrade Phan Chi Hieu, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences , President of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association; representatives of the Union of Friendship Organizations, Vietnam-Russia Friendship Associations of 31 provinces and cities across the country.

The conference was held on the occasion of the Central Committee of the Association celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association; the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Russia diplomatic relations; and the establishment of the Vietnam-Russia Cooperation Center. In addition, the association organizations and branches organized many rich and diverse activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; and the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet people.

Delegates of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association attended the national meeting in Hai Duong .

At the conference, representatives of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association from several provinces and cities presented papers, exchanged and shared experiences to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of the Association's work.

Regarding the goals and tasks in the coming time, Chairman of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association Phan Chi Hieu emphasized: Local associations in the merged provinces need to have plans to organize, rearrange and build action programs suitable to the new situation, promptly discuss with the Central Association to orient and coordinate effective activities; encourage exchange activities and experience sharing between local associations and branches through the connecting role of the Central Association to promote and spread the image of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association and effectively implement the activities of the Vietnam-Russia Cooperation Center...
