After entering the East Sea and becoming storm number 14, storm Fung-Wong (Phuong Hoang) maintained its strong wind level 13, gust level 16 and moved slowly. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm's center will be in the eastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, as of 10:00 a.m. today (November 10), the center of storm No. 14 (Fung-Wong) was located in the eastern sea of ​​the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 13 (134-149 km/h), gusting to level 16. The storm moved in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 15 km/h.

In the next 24 hours, the storm will change direction, moving to the North-Northwest, with a further decrease in speed, to 10-15km/h. By tomorrow (November 11), the center of the storm will still be in the eastern sea of ​​the North East Sea, maintaining the intensity of level 13, gusting to level 16.

In the next 24 hours, storm No. 14 changed direction to the North-Northeast, maintaining a speed of 10-15km/h. By 10:00 on November 12, the center of the storm was in the northeastern sea of ​​the North East Sea. At this time, the storm intensity decreased to level 12, gusting to level 15 and gradually weakened.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm will continue to change direction to the Northeast, moving faster at about 20km/h and weakening into a tropical depression. By 10am on November 13, the center of the tropical depression will be located in the sea northeast of Taiwan (China), the intensity will decrease to level 7, gusting to level 9.

Due to the influence of storm No. 14 Fung-Wong, the eastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea has strong winds of level 8-10; the area near the storm's eye has strong winds of level 11-13, gusts of level 16, waves 5-8m high, the area near the storm's eye has waves of 8-10m. The sea is very rough.

All vessels operating in the above mentioned danger zones are susceptible to storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.

On the same day, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee sent a telegram to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Dak Lak and relevant ministries and branches on responding to storm No. 14 in the East Sea.

Accordingly, the Steering Committee requested ministries, branches and localities to closely monitor the storm's developments; strictly manage vessels going out to sea; organize counting and notify owners of vessels and captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.

The dangerous area in the next 24 hours is latitude 15-21 degrees North; east of longitude 116 degrees East (dangerous area is adjusted in forecast bulletins).

Ministries, sectors and localities are ready with forces and means for rescue when required. Ministries and sectors, according to their functions, state management tasks and assigned tasks, proactively direct and coordinate with localities to respond to the storm.
