Dien Bien province attended the conference to review the work of the first 6 months of 2025 and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of the year of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On the morning of July 17, 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. The conference was chaired by Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of MOCST Nguyen Van Hung, with the participation of Deputy Ministers, leaders of units under the Ministry and Vice Chairmen of People's Committees of 22 provinces and cities and online bridges in 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

At the Dien Bien provincial bridge, there were comrades Lo Van Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Nguyen Minh Phu - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; comrades in the Board of Directors of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives of leaders of State Management Departments and units under the Department.

At the Conference, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh reported on the first 6 months of the year. He emphasized that 2025 is the final year to accelerate and make a breakthrough to successfully complete the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. In the first 6 months of the year, the culture, sports and tourism sector has inherited the results from 2024, synchronously implemented the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, focusing on the task of reviving and developing Vietnamese culture. Notably, the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, term 2025 - 2030, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Streamlining - Professionalism - Development" was successfully held, creating new momentum for the whole sector to enter a new era of development.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Ministry's leadership maintained the principles of solidarity, decisive direction, flexibility and initiative in all areas. The Ministry promptly removed difficulties for its subordinate units, focused on resolving outstanding issues and continued to reform administrative procedures, decentralize power according to the 2-level local government organization model. Institutional development and improvement were given high priority with 25 legal documents being developed and issued, including draft laws, decrees and circulars.

The industry has implemented many major tasks with specific roadmaps such as completing the Feasibility Study Report of the National Target Program for Cultural Development for the period 2025 - 2035, the project to organize an Exhibition of Socio -Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, 2025, the project to internationalize national cultural identity and nationalize the quintessence of world culture. Tourism continued to grow strongly with more than 10.6 million international visitors in the first 6 months of the year, an increase of 20.7% over the same period and total revenue estimated at about 518 trillion VND. The work of preserving and promoting cultural heritage was focused; press, media and publishing activities had many positive changes, especially in preventing bad and toxic information. Mass sports developed strongly, high-performance sports had significant improvements. The cultural and entertainment industry developed with many creative and unique products.

Foreign affairs culture has also recorded many important changes, moving from simple exchanges to practical cooperation with many cooperation documents signed during high-level visits of Party and State leaders. The Ministry has issued more than 6,000 directive documents, organized many conferences, worked with localities, ministries and embassies to promote management and development of the sector.

Regarding the key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, the Ministry will focus on developing and submitting to the Government projects, draft laws, decrees, and circulars according to the plan, implementing decentralization and delegation of power in accordance with the 2-level local government model. The Ministry will also promote the development of science and technology, digital transformation, administrative reform, upgrading the information system for handling administrative procedures, ensuring information security and safety, and connecting with the national population database.

In addition, the Ministry continues to implement national target programs on cultural development, the cultural internationalization project, the cultural industry development strategy to 2030, vision 2045 and the entertainment industry project. Cultural and artistic activities, exhibitions of socio-economic achievements will be successfully organized, spreading traditional values, patriotism, aspirations for development and national unity, especially on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

With strong directions and close coordination, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is determined to successfully complete its tasks, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity in 2025. In addition, the issues raised at the Conference, especially the directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, will create a general orientation for the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector of Dien Bien province to operate and develop in the coming time./.
