Blending with heroic music
Scrolling through TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, etc. platforms, it is easy to come across a series of short videos filled with emotions about young people wearing traditional ao dai, red flag t-shirts with yellow stars performing gentle dance moves to the music of songs such as: "Red blood, yellow skin", "Continue writing the story of peace", "Vietnam in my heart"...
The dance steps deeply touch the audience's emotions with simplicity, sincerity and pride imbued in every look and smile.

Ha Thuy Tien - a young person in Lao Cai city who also made a video with the trend of dancing to heroic music attracting tens of thousands of views on social network TikTok - shared: "I choose to spread the message of patriotism through my own strengths and musical perception on social networks. I think simple things will easily reach many viewers and partly help strengthen the spirit of patriotism and national pride in the young generation of Lao Cai".
Check-in with the national flag
This trend is currently very popular with Lao Cai people and posted on social networks.
These days, some places that attract a large number of people to check-in are the Provincial Convention Center Square, April 30 Street (Lao Cai City), national flag streets, streets with bright red flags with yellow stars, or coffee shops decorated with bright red flags.

But perhaps the area that attracts the most people to take photos and check-in is the Provincial Convention Center Square in Nam Cuong Ward. Taking advantage of dawn or dusk is the ideal time to have beautiful photos, many people come here to take photos. The chosen costumes are usually ao dai, red flag with yellow star. Many children holding red flag with yellow star in their hands are taken by their parents to take photos.

Ms. Tran Thuy Ngan Giang (Nam Cuong ward, Lao Cai city) shared: "Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, I took my daughter to take pictures with the red flag with a yellow star to record a memorable moment that only happens once every 50 years. This is also the way I choose to educate my child to appreciate peace and the historical values of the nation. I hope that when she grows up, she will become a good citizen, contributing to building her homeland and country."
Patriotism
In addition to the trend of checking in with the national flag and dancing to heroic music, social networks these days are also "dyed" red by many articles about emotions, meaningful stories about history, the contemporary value of the Great Victory of Spring 1975, the spirit of great national unity and the sacrifice of previous generations; affirming the value of peace, independence, unity; spreading beautiful images of the country and people of Vietnam...
In addition, the campaign to mobilize cadres, union members, youth and people nationwide in general, and Lao Cai in particular, to simultaneously change their profile pictures and cover photos of their personal pages and post content, images and videos expressing their love for their homeland and country, national pride, and the joyful atmosphere celebrating the anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, associated with the national flag, was also deployed and received widespread response.
"If pride has a shape, it is the red flag with a yellow star. If patriotism has a sound, it is the resounding national anthem... If there is an afterlife, I still hope to be Vietnamese" - this saying is also truly spreading in the soul of every social network user these days.

Checking in with the national flag, decorating living spaces, shops, street corners with red flags with yellow stars, spreading historical stories, heroic revolutionary songs across social media platforms, changing profile pictures... is not simply a trend but perhaps it is the patriotism that always exists in every Vietnamese person, so that at every historical moment of the nation, that spirit is like a fire that is fanned in a very sacred pride.

Through important historical events of the nation, every Vietnamese person in general, and Lao Cai people in particular, appreciates more the value of independence, freedom, peace and unity. Through the strong spread of social networks, patriotism is not only a temporary trend but also a reminder, arousing the spirit of patriotism and national pride. Creating and spreading patriotism through social networks affirms that no matter what generation, with any way of expression, love for the Fatherland is always in the heart of every Vietnamese child.
