The VOAI Artificial Intelligence Competition is an intellectual playground organized by the Ministry of Education and Training to promote the movement of learning, creative research, developing teamwork skills, programming thinking and international integration for high school students nationwide in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
The competition was launched in April 2025 with nearly 150 high school students nationwide meeting the AI competency standards participating in the preliminary round. Through the preliminary round results on May 11, 99 candidates from 28 high schools in 17 provinces/cities and 4 high schools affiliated with universities nationwide were selected for the final round.
On June 1, contestants competed in the VOAI 2025 final round at the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi ). On the morning of June 2, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 first prizes, 17 second prizes, 25 third prizes and 34 consolation prizes to the winning contestants.
Nguyen Anh Minh was the only student from Lao Cai province to participate in the final round of the competition and won third prize.
This is the first time Lao Cai High School for the Gifted has won an artificial intelligence competition, marking a breakthrough in training orientation and opening up many development opportunities in the future.
