According to international media, Andres Iniesta is being investigated by the Peruvian Prosecutor's Office in connection with alleged financial fraud in a series of entertainment projects in South America. The lawsuit was initiated by local businessmen who claim that Iniesta's company has misappropriated about 518,000 euros.
The companies involved include Never Say Never (NSN) Barcelona and NSN Sudamérica, both owned by Iniesta. The group is accused of organising entertainment events that did not take place as promised – including an international friendly football match and a K-pop music festival – without returning the money to investors.
According to De Telegraaf , the only event held was the Upa Upa Fest, but this program suffered heavy losses, leading to the cancellation of two other events: a match of football legends and a friendly match between Cienciano (Peru) and Nacional de Quito (Ecuador).

A source from La Sexta channel said that Iniesta is seriously affected mentally by the incident. Those close to him confirmed that the former Spanish midfielder "was misled by those around him", causing damage to himself and related parties. A company in the NSN network is said to be in the process of liquidation to repay the outstanding debt.
One of the investors, Mr. Emilio Lozano, revealed on the program Y ahora Sonsoles : “We did not receive any notification. It was only when we looked up that we learned that the company had been liquidated. They did not take any responsibility, even though they initially promised to organize the event in full.”
Peruvian media said prosecutors are investigating whether investment money was diverted abroad and whether Iniesta’s image was used to attract investors. Authorities suspect his reputation was used as a promotional tool for “phantom” events to build trust and raise capital.
The investigation is still ongoing and Iniesta has not made an official statement. If the allegations are confirmed, the 40-year-old Barcelona legend could face criminal prosecution in Peru – a serious incident in the illustrious career of the 2010 World Cup champion.
