Organizing the 2023 Hanoi Children's Dance Talent Competition

With the desire to contribute to comprehensiveeducation for the young generation of the capital, foster their spirit as well as create a playground for them to have a useful and meaningful summer after the school year; at the same time, discover talents in the field of dancing for teenagers and children, the Hanoi Dance Artists Association, Hanoi People Magazine (Hanoi Literature and Arts Association) and the Youth Theater jointly organize the "Hanoi City Youth and Children's Dance Talent Competition 2023".

The program will become a cultural, recreational and entertainment venue with high educational value for children during the summer. In particular, with the contest content in the form of folk art, it will contribute to nurturing the children's spirit, enhancing the love for traditional art forms for students of the capital, strengthening the close connection between children, families and the community in the work of caring for and educating adolescents and children.

The competition is divided into 2 groups A and B with 2 main categories: dance and choreography, conducted in 2 rounds: Preliminary round (Online form: From June 1 to 25, 2023): Final round (Live form, on July 21, 2023). The preliminary round is online. The final round will take place live at the Youth Theater. The Gala Award Night will be held at 8:00 p.m. on July 22, 2023 at the Youth Theater, broadcast live on ANTV channel.

Each contestant can only register for a maximum of 2 fields according to their best strengths in the Dance and Choreography categories (clearly state the category on the registration form of the Organizing Committee); The work must have content and message (describe or briefly introduce in writing on the registration form of the Organizing Committee); There must be a picture of the performance costume of the contest entry (send the photo attached on the registration form of the Organizing Committee).

Contestants are allowed to use published works; works that the contestants have won prizes in other competitions or art festivals are not allowed. The Organizing Committee encourages contestants to register for newly composed dance works. Contestants perform 1 work, each work must not exceed 6 minutes in duration.

The award structure includes: 1 Special Prize in both categories; 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 4 Encouragement Prizes for each category. The Organizing Committee will award prizes (with cash) to talented dancers with excellent results according to the criteria in the Award Judging Regulations for each category; Award separate prizes to Choreographers with excellent works, new compositions specifically for the competition; Excellent Coaches for contestants participating in the competition; Clubs with the most contestants.
