Organize on-duty duty throughout the holidays to handle customs procedures for businesses

(DN) - The Regional Customs Branch XVIII (Region 18 Customs Branch) said that in order to facilitate immediate customs clearance for imported raw materials, supplies, machinery and equipment for processing, manufacturing and export products, the Regional Customs Branch 18 has assigned officers and civil servants at customs offices at seaports and industrial parks to be on duty 24 hours a day, especially during the 3-day Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday (from April 5 to 7, 2025).

In the first quarter of 2025, the import-export turnover of Customs Sub-Department of Region 18 reached nearly 7.9 billion USD, an increase of over 722 million USD, equivalent to an increase of 10% over the same period in 2024. Of which, import turnover reached nearly 3.3 billion USD, an increase of 17% over the same period; export turnover reached nearly 4.6 billion USD, an increase of 6% over the same period in 2024.

The total number of customs declarations generated by Customs Sub-Department of Region 18 reached over 312 thousand declarations, an increase of 12% over the same period in 2024.
