Discussion: New movements in gathering international forces - Implications for Vietnam's foreign affairs

On September 24, 2025, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Peace and Development Council held a seminar on “New movements in assembling international forces through recent developments – Implications for Vietnam’s foreign affairs”. The seminar was chaired by Mr. Ha Hung Cuong, Chairman of the Council.

At the seminar, delegates listened to a presentation on the new movement in gathering international forces: nature, form, impact, and implications for Vietnam's international integration by speaker Le Dinh Tinh - Director of the Department of Foreign Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs ; presentation: "Adjusting US foreign policy and impact on the trend of gathering international forces - Implications for people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation" by speaker Nguyen Dang Quang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Peace and Development Council.

Speaking at the seminar, Chairman of the Vietnam Peace and Development Council Ha Hung Cuong highly appreciated the presentations and comments of the delegates attending the congress. He said that these were direct, frank and open opinions.

Delegate Doan Xuan Hung, Vietnam Peace and Development Council shared: The world situation is undergoing many changes, which also poses many challenges to the direct interests of countries, including Vietnam. In this context, we need to enhance our autonomy in assembling international forces to propose initiatives to maintain the people's foreign policy, contributing to the development of the country.
