Honoring the strength of great solidarity and identity of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups

From November 18 to 24, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Doai Phuong, Hanoi), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with agencies and units to organize the Week of "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" 2025, to honor heritage values, spread the spirit of solidarity of the community of 54 ethnic groups and introduce Vietnamese cultural identity to international friends.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's Week brings together more than 200 people of 18 ethnic groups from 12 localities, along with artisans, mass actors, associations and tourism businesses. The program is expected to have the participation of Party and State leaders, representatives of central ministries and branches, ambassadors, heads of diplomatic agencies and international organizations in Vietnam, and a large number of domestic and international tourists.

The Opening Ceremony of the Week of “Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” in 2025 and the 2nd Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival at 8:00 p.m. on November 24 is the highlight of the activities. The program honors the cultural heritage values ​​of the community of 54 ethnic groups, demonstrates the strength of great national unity and introduces the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends. On this occasion, Party and State leaders will present gifts to representatives of ethnic groups, recognizing their contributions to cultural preservation.

Within the framework of the Week, there are also many rich activities: Scientific workshop on "Preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" (afternoon of November 24); Program to promote Vietnamese culture to international friends at "Common House" (afternoon of November 24); National Great Unity Day (November 18).

Along with that are the exchange spaces "Colors of Vinh Long River Culture", "Temple and Tower Culture Space of Cham People in Khanh Hoa Province", and a series of cultural exchange programs of ethnic groups in the North, Central Highlands, and South with art performances, traditional crafts, cuisine , folk games, and introduction of local heritage and OCOP products.

The Organizing Committee said that this year's Week continues to affirm that culture is the spiritual foundation of society, an important endogenous strength of the great national unity bloc, and at the same time a bridge of people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to promoting the image of a friendly, diverse, and rich-in-identity Vietnam to international friends.
