These cooperation activities not only contribute to improving the professional capacity of local staff in the field of conservation and protection of natural resources, but also enhance technical equipment, promote propaganda and dissemination of laws on forest protection and biodiversity.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that WWF is currently coordinating with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to build a project to restore forests and develop livelihoods in the old Quang Nam area, with a total capital of more than 8.1 million USD, and is expected to sponsor many new programs in the near future.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi hopes that WWF will continue to accompany and support the city in the fields of building Strategy and Action Plan on biodiversity, financial mechanism for conservation, management of natural heritage and wetlands; Forest restoration, development of carbon credits, improving management capacity and emission reduction; Application of science - technology , digital transformation in resource management, biodiversity conservation and training, research, data sharing on natural resource management.
At the reception, Mr. Martin Kabaluapa Kapinga - General Director of WWF's offices expressed his condolences to the government and people of Da Nang city for the damages caused by floods.
A WWF representative said that Da Nang is a locality that WWF prioritizes for implementing conservation projects. WWF congratulates the government and people of Da Nang on their achievements in environmental protection and nature conservation, and affirms that Da Nang is becoming a typical model for other localities to learn from.

Also here, Mr. Martin Kabaluapa Kapinga expressed that the merger of the province and city opens up many cooperation opportunities between WWF and Da Nang. WWF wishes and commits to continue cooperating with Da Nang to implement activities related to forest protection and restoration, contributing to improving the effectiveness of nature conservation work in the locality.
