Warm Spring - Happy Tet: Vietnam Trade Union accompanies workers

In preparation for the Lunar New Year 2026, trade unions at all levels are urgently implementing many practical care programs, aiming at the goal of "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet", to ensure material life, connect spiritually, and spread love between trade unions and workers.

Right from the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2025, the Vietnam Health Trade Union launched a plan to take care of the 2026 Binh Ngo New Year with the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party" and the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet". According to the Vietnam Health Trade Union, programs such as "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" will be organized online and directly at units with "0 VND" booths, discounts, gifts, free health check-ups and legal advice, to help union members access Tet goods conveniently and economically. The program "Union Spring 2026 Bus - Train Trip" supports union members far from home to reunite with their families, with a maximum of 2 million VND/person, and at the same time, 1,040 vouchers will be awarded to special cases, demonstrating the close attention of the union.

In line with the Vietnam Health Trade Union, Khanh Hoa Labor Federation is implementing direct and online care activities, emphasizing support for union members in difficulty, workers affected by natural disasters, serious illnesses, work accidents, job loss or unpaid wages. Of which, more than 10,500 union members are expected to receive 1 million VND/person; more than 4,000 gifts worth 500,000 VND/gift will be given to union members through the Online Tet Market. Along with that, there are health check-ups, legal advice, free motorbike oil and the Union Year-end Meal, helping union members and workers to have a full and warm Tet holiday.

In Vinh Long, the Provincial Federation of Labor plans to launch an online Trade Union Tet Market from December 20, 2025 to February 3, 2026, to support 6,150 union members and union officials with vouchers worth VND500,000/ticket to purchase goods and consumer products. This activity not only helps workers access essential necessities but also creates convenience and savings, demonstrating the deep concern of the Trade Union organization.

Bringing Tet to workers

In Dong Nai and Bac Ninh, the trade union organization also urgently implemented material care work to unite the spirit of union members and workers at enterprises and boarding houses.

Accordingly, Dong Nai Labor Federation plans to implement the program "Tet Reunion Bus Trip - Spring 2026" with 2,200 bus tickets to take union members home, combined with 450 train tickets and 120 plane tickets allocated by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Chairman of Dong Nai Labor Federation, the union will prioritize union members who are in difficult circumstances, have not returned home for many years or have outstanding achievements in the period 2020-2025. Bus, train and plane trips will be organized from February 10-16, 2026, to take union members to the northern provinces. At the same time, the grassroots union will arrange to pick up and drop off from the workplace to Tan Son Nhat airport, ensuring convenience and safety.

Not only bringing workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet, Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation also organizes Tet Sum Vay, meetings with workers' families, arts and sports, lucky draws at enterprises and boarding houses, and cares for union members who cannot return to their hometowns. The goal is for everyone to feel the warm Tet atmosphere.

In Bac Ninh, the Provincial Federation of Labor is taking care of union members directly involved in production, prioritizing those in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, reduced work or lost their jobs. The maximum level of care is 1 million VND/person, paid in cash; organizing buses to take union members home; Tet Sum Vay program at 100% of agencies and enterprises; Union year-end meal of 70,000 VND/meal, combined with enterprise sponsorship; "Tet not far from home" for workers who work during Tet at units, agencies, and boarding houses.

Activities in Dong Nai and Bac Ninh not only ensure material life but also create opportunities for exchange and connection between union members, workers and grassroots unions, contributing to stabilizing labor relations, maintaining security and order, and spreading the image of close and sharing unions.

In general, from the Vietnam Health Trade Union to provincial Labor Confederations such as Khanh Hoa, Vinh Long to Dong Nai, Bac Ninh... all levels of trade unions are urgently implementing a series of activities to care for Tet 2026 with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet". These programs not only meet material needs, but also foster the spirit of solidarity and attachment between workers and trade unions. Thanks to that, the spring of Binh Ngo 2026 promises to be an opportunity for all union members and workers to feel the care and sharing, while contributing to stabilizing labor relations, ensuring security and order, and spreading the humanistic values ​​of trade unions in society.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has just announced the program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" and the activities "Flight" - "Trade Union Train", with the goal of creating a warm Tet, spreading union sentiment, connecting union members and ensuring they return to work on schedule after Tet. The program will support about 200,000 union members and workers with shopping vouchers worth 500,000 VND/person from December 20, 2025 to February 3, 2026. Priority will be given to people in difficulty, heavy laborers, those with serious illnesses, work-related accidents, low income, ethnic minorities, relatives of meritorious people and union members who have not returned home for many years. A total of 500 air tickets, 2,000 two-way train tickets and 2,500 gifts worth 300,000 VND/person will be distributed to union members and workers working in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. Free flights will be conducted from February 12-16, 2026, and trains from February 10-16, 2026.
