Thanh Xuan Ward Trade Union plays an important role in the cause of socio-economic development.

The 1st Congress of Thanh Xuan Ward Trade Union, term 2025-2030, is a political event of special significance. This is an important milestone, demonstrating a strong shift in trade union activities, meeting the requirements of innovation in the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation, in the spirit of Resolution No. 02 of the Politburo, associated with the process of arranging and perfecting the socio-political organization and mass associations in the direction of streamlining, practicality, efficiency, directly under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Xuan Ward.

Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Chairwoman of the Ward Trade Union Pham Thu Huong said that currently, the Thanh Xuan Ward Trade Union has 90 grassroots trade unions with over 7,000 union members. This is a large force, playing an important role in the socio -economic development of the ward.

Immediately after its establishment, the Ward Union received the attention and direct guidance of the Party Committee, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, and especially the support and guidance of the City Labor Federation in perfecting the organization, orienting tasks and building the initial action plan. This was a source of encouragement and created favorable conditions for the Ward Union to quickly stabilize its apparatus and deploy its tasks.

The Thanh Xuan Ward Trade Union Executive Committee has developed and issued operating regulations, determined working principles, meeting regimes, and reporting information; at the same time, assigned specific tasks to each Executive Committee member, ensuring clear people, clear work, and promoting personal responsibility. The Ward Trade Union Inspection Committee has also been strengthened and developed operating regulations, effectively performing the work of supervision and inspection, ensuring that all trade union activities comply with the Charter and regulations of superiors.

Specifically, the Ward Union has established 3 connecting Zalo groups (Zalo group of Trade Unions of enterprises, Zalo group of Trade Unions of schools and public service units and Zalo group of Executive Committee); deployed the Plan to organize Trade Union Congresses at all levels towards the 18th Congress of Hanoi City Trade Union, term 2025-2030; guided grassroots trade unions to contribute opinions to the draft Report of the Executive Committee of the City Labor Federation, term 17, to be presented at the 18th City Trade Union Congress. Organized the Standing Committee Conference, the Executive Committee took votes to introduce personnel to be appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and key positions of Thanh Xuan Ward Trade Union, term I, term 2025-2030 with a high consensus rate of 100%.

In addition to strengthening the organization, the Ward Union has actively and proactively advised the Party Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, coordinated with the government and socio- political organizations to deploy some initial contents on trade union work and the movement of workers and employees, associated with the task of socio-economic development in the locality such as mobilizing union members, workers, civil servants and employees to participate in patriotic emulation movements, responding to the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life", participating in maintaining order and security for workers in the area, while taking care of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees.

With the motto of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", in the coming term, Thanh Xuan Ward Trade Union sets 10 targets to strive for. In which, every year strives to achieve and exceed the targets assigned by the City Labor Federation. 100% of grassroots trade union officials are trained and fostered in professional skills of trade union work. 90% or more of union members and workers in the ward are propagandized, disseminated, studied and thoroughly grasped the Party's policies and resolutions, and the State's laws and policies related to labor and trade unions. In the ward, at least 85% of enterprises and units with trade union organizations negotiate and sign collective labor agreements according to regulations...

Choosing the task of "Improving the quality of grassroots union cadres, ensuring sufficient capacity, courage and skills to meet the requirements in the new situation" as a breakthrough, in the coming time, Thanh Xuan Ward Union will actively and proactively coordinate to direct the good implementation of grassroots democracy regulations, organize conferences for cadres, civil servants and employees, conduct periodic dialogues, participate in building and implementing collective labor agreements, internal rules and regulations at agencies, units and enterprises. Perform well the role of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees. Timely resolve labor disputes, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area.

Do a good job of caring for union members and workers, improve the quality of welfare activities for union members and workers; replicate practical welfare models. Coordinate to organize free health check-ups, survey and support union members in difficult circumstances, propose reform of salary policy. Promote activities in "Workers' Month", mobilize support for social funds, build "Union shelters" and subsidize poor workers, participate in social security programs launched by all levels.

Party Secretary, Chairman of Thanh Xuan Ward People's Council Nguyen Huy Cuong suggested that in the period of 2025-2030, Thanh Xuan Ward Trade Union should quickly consolidate and improve its organization, build a solid foundation for operations. At the same time, innovate and improve the effectiveness of propaganda and education work, grasp the situation of workers; perform well the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers. Proactively advise the Party Committee and government on policies and solutions for socio-economic development, especially issues related to employment and life of workers.
