Scientific seminar "Hai Phong city promotes achievements of 70 years of construction and growth, firmly entering the new era - the era of national growth"

Overview of the Seminar.

Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Hai Phong City Party Committee Vuong Toan Thu Thuy said: Since the city's liberation day (May 13, 1955) until now, overcoming the difficulties after the war, Hai Phong has steadfastly risen, gradually built and developed, becoming one of the largest economic , industrial and seaport centers in the country. The position and prestige of Hai Phong have been constantly affirmed on the economic and social map of the whole country, and have been recognized by the Party and the State. In particular, on April 28, 2025, President Luong Cuong signed Decision No. 766 on conferring the title "Heroic City" on the Port City. Recently, on May 6, 2025, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry announced the Provincial Competitiveness Index in 2024, for the first time Hai Phong was recognized by the business community, and assessed as the locality holding the first position among 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

These great achievements create a solid foundation, a new spirit for Hai Phong to confidently enter the new era. However, we are also deeply aware that the new era will bring unprecedented opportunities, but at the same time pose significant challenges. The strong development of science and technology , especially the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the process of deep integration, climate change and global issues require Hai Phong to have a strategic vision, breakthrough thinking and more drastic actions.
