Go Gang Island, located in Ganh Rai Bay, Long Son Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, has a favorable location for developing a marine economy . Three sides bordering the river and one side facing the sea, help the island have a relatively complete waterway traffic network, creating conditions for connecting and effectively exploiting economic and maritime activities.

Just about 20 minutes away from the tourist capital of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Vung Tau City), Go Gang has a completely different appearance with swamps, mangrove forests, salt fields and a sparse population, creating a separate and pristine space.

Go Gang Island still has many salt fields, but most of them have been abandoned. According to observations, along Truong Sa road, it is easy to see houses that are no longer inhabited, degraded over time, creating a wild and quiet scene.

Truong Sa route - the main traffic axis of Go Gang island is built spaciously and well, with a scale of 6 lanes, ensuring convenient connection and traffic.

On Truong Sa route, there are two bridges Go Gang and Cha Va, which play the role of connecting Go Gang island with the center of Vung Tau ward and Long Son commune. In the photo is Cha Va bridge facing Long Son commune.

Along the Dinh River - the natural boundary between Go Gang Island and the coastal tourism capital of Ho Chi Minh City (Vung Tau), there are hundreds of aquaculture cages combined with food service businesses, creating the main livelihood of many local households.

According to the planning project, Go Gang Island is oriented to develop into a new modern urban area, in harmony with the mangrove ecosystem. This urban area also plays the role of a center for fishing logistics services and high-tech seafood processing. The entire area has an area of 1,350 hectares, with an expected population of about 60,000 people.

Of which, the largest area on the island is planned for the mangrove ecological park with 532 hectares. The airport area and related services occupy about 250 hectares, while about 158.5 hectares are reserved for commerce, services, science and tourism.

In addition, Go Gang Island is expected to reserve about 20 hectares for education, training and scientific research; 30 hectares for an economic, financial and commercial center; 67 hectares for a gateway service center; and 25.3 hectares for a service area connecting to Long Son.

Previously, Sun Group proposed the idea of planning the Go Gang Island project to be divided into 8 sub-zones, including a residential construction area with high-rise and low-rise buildings, along with mixed-function works, serving a variety of residential, commercial and service purposes.
