(HNM) - According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , up to now, the country has built and developed 1,702 safe agricultural, forestry and fishery supply chains with the participation of a number of large enterprises. Along with that, localities are continuing to maintain and implement programs to monitor hygiene and food safety of agricultural, forestry and fishery products; proactively handling food safety incidents in the domestic market and exported agricultural products.
From the beginning of 2023 to present, the rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery samples monitored to meet food safety standards is 97.5% (up 1.2% over the same period last year); the rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery production and business establishments certified to meet food safety conditions is 99.6% (up 4.9% over the same period last year); the rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery production and business establishments signing a commitment to comply with food safety regulations is 89% (up 14%).
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has directed specialized units to guide localities to continue to expand the quantity and scale of safe agricultural, forestry and fishery supply chains; build industry supply chains, local agricultural, forestry and fishery value chains from raw material areas, factories, markets, trade centers, and export activities. On the other hand, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinates with localities to guide farmers to practice more professional production, produce according to market standards and tastes; proactively monitor, warn, conduct surprise inspections to promptly detect and strictly handle violating establishments and products that violate regulations on food quality and safety; negotiate to resolve technical barriers, expand the market for agricultural, forestry and fishery products in domestic and international markets.
