“Ultimatum” for 1,800 billion golf course project in Hue City

Accordingly, Hue City People's Committee announced that Thien An Joint Stock Company (project investor) is allowed to continue using the land for 24 months from the date the investment project is terminated according to the provisions of the law on investment (from April 18, 2025 to April 18, 2027).

Within this 24-month period, Thien An Joint Stock Company is responsible for handling assets attached to land in accordance with the provisions of Clause 2, Article 35 of Decree No. 102/2024/ND-CP dated July 30, 2024 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Land Law.

In case after the prescribed time limit expires, if Thien An Joint Stock Company fails to complete the handling of assets attached to the land, the State shall reclaim the land without compensation for land and assets attached to the land in accordance with the provisions of law.

The announcement also stated that the Department of Agriculture and Environment is fully responsible before the law, the City People's Committee, the Chairman of the City People's Committee, and inspection and examination agencies for the accuracy and legality of the records, procedures, processes, and appraisal contents advising the City People's Committee stated in the above documents of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

The Hue Golf Course Complex Project in Thuy Duong Ward has an area of ​​78.32 hectares and an investment capital of about 1,885 billion VND. The project was granted the first Investment Certificate by the Hue City People's Committee on October 10, 2007, the second adjusted Investment Registration Certificate on March 30, 2017, and the third adjustment on December 10, 2021.

The project includes items such as: 18-hole golf course according to international standards; Central clubhouse; Golf practice house, golf course; Operation and auxiliary service area; Resort villa area serving golfers, combined with high-class eco-resort; Water reservoir systems; Garden system, landscape trees...

However, up to now the project has not been completed to come into operation.
