Tonight, the 10th National Foreign Information Awards Ceremony is scheduled to take place in Hanoi.

The National Award for Foreign Information is an annual national event, first held in 2014 with the aim of recognizing and honoring authors and groups of authors with outstanding works in the field of foreign information and propaganda, contributing to spreading the image of the country, culture and people of Vietnam to the world .

This year's 10th National Award for Foreign Information was jointly organized by the Central Propaganda Department, the Steering Committee for Foreign Information Work, Vietnam Television and relevant agencies.

After more than 4 months of launching, the Award has received 1,289 works/products. The themes of this year's works/products continue to cover all important political , foreign affairs, cultural events..., the country's achievements in all fields; information on the Party and State's guidelines, policies, especially current development priorities such as science and technology, digital transformation, green economy; introducing and promoting the beauty of the country, people, and cultural values ​​of Vietnam.

The form of expression is diverse, modern, actively using new traditional media (for products/works in the video clip category). The works/products of foreigners demonstrate a deep, positive, multi-faceted vision of Vietnam's foreign affairs activities, Vietnam's relations with countries in the region and the world, the attractiveness of Vietnam as an interesting destination, and the history and long-standing culture of Vietnam.

Notably, in addition to the popular languages ​​participating in the Awards in previous years, this year there are new languages ​​such as Arabic, Italian, Israeli in the categories of foreign print and electronic newspapers; Uzbek and Sinhala in the category of books.

Through 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Final Jury selected 109 best works/products to award prizes, including 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes, 30 third prizes, 49 consolation prizes for 10 categories.

The 10th National External Information Awards Ceremony will take place at the Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi at 8:00 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

The ceremony was held not only to honor the award-winning authors/author groups, but also to look back on a successful year of foreign information work, which has contributed to telling attractive and vivid stories about Vietnam in all fields.

The 10th National Foreign Information Awards Ceremony was broadcast live on VTV1 Channel of Vietnam Television.
