Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Quan Van Hai said: It has become an annual tradition that, despite being busy with work, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism always sets aside a special, meaningful and important time to honor, recognize and congratulate the great contributions of female cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to the development of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in general, and their contributions to the activities of the trade union in particular.
"The theme of October 20 is always a topic that makes us men touched, cherished and brings a lot of emotions. Because women are an important and indispensable part of society. They are grandmothers, mothers, wives who take on the responsibility of caring for and raising children, keeping the flame of happiness, family and playing a significant role in economic and social development. Therefore, honoring women is a recognition of their contributions to family and society" - Mr. Quan Van Hai said.

Sharing at the program, Head of the Women's Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha shared: Throughout thousands of years of history, women have played an undeniable role in defending and building the country. On the journey of development, Vietnamese women are increasingly confident, proactive and strong, always possessing noble qualities, as Uncle Ho awarded "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and responsible". Today, they participate strongly in the political, economic and social fields and make significant contributions to the development of the country. Along with the increased awareness of gender equality, Vietnamese women today are respected and appreciated more than ever.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also pays great attention to training, fostering and appointing female cadres. Currently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has 01 female Deputy Minister and many female cadres who are leaders of Departments, Divisions, and leaders of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Notably, in some areas considered "hot", with many prominent social issues such as: Department of Cultural Heritage, Department of Performing Arts, Department of Grassroots Culture, Department of International Cooperation... the leaders and those in charge are all women.

Representatives of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union presented the Commemorative Medal of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 02 female trade union officials of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Entries participating in the dramatization competition
Also at the program, the Organizing Committee held a performance and awarded prizes for a writing and dramatization contest to learn about implementing democracy at the grassroots level and disseminating the law in 2024. The contest was organized to raise awareness and sense of law compliance of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers about implementing democracy at the grassroots level and legal regulations related to implementing democracy at the grassroots level.
The writing contest ended on August 10, 2024, the Ministry's Trade Union organized the marking of the entries and today's program continued to organize the dramatization contest.
Delegates awarded First Prize to the winning units in the writing and dramatization competitions.
The dramatization competition had the participation of 5 teams from the Trade Unions of the following units: Vietnam Drama Theater, Youth Theater, Vietnam Tuong Theater, Vietnam Cai Luong Theater and Vietnam Cheo Theater. The teams created their own situations and handled situations related to the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level and the law at agencies and units in the form of spoken drama, short plays, and stage plays.
In the final results, in the writing competition, the Organizing Committee selected 10 excellent entries to award prizes including: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 4 consolation prizes, of which the first prize belonged to the Trade Union of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace. In the staged competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes, of which the first prize belonged to the Trade Union of the Vietnam Tuong Theater.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded movement prizes to the Trade Unions of the following units: Information Technology Center; Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts, Department of Grassroots Culture, Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, etc.
