More than 200 delegates from the literary and artistic community of Ca Mau province attended the discussion. |
After 50 years of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the field of literature and arts in Ca Mau has innovated in both content and form, deeply reflecting the work of protecting and building the homeland, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people. In particular, the works have deeply reflected social life, realistically depicting the people and the land of Ca Mau, rich in identity, striving to develop with the country.
From the rich and vibrant reality of life, the team of writers and artists in Ca Mau always seek to learn, improve their expertise, boldly experiment with new methods, and achieve many achievements in all fields.
Up to now, the Ca Mau Provincial Literature and Arts Association has nearly 300 members operating in 9 sub-associations in the following fields: music , cinema, architecture, dance, theater, photography, fine arts, literature, folk arts. Of which, the whole province has 2 People's Artists, 15 Meritorious Artists, 2 Meritorious Artisans...

Mr. Ho Trung Viet - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee emphasized: "50 years after the country's reunification" not only recreates the development journey of the province's literature and arts through each period but also portrays the portraits of people who have been silently contributing to the culture of their homeland. It is not only a place to preserve memories, but also a strong source of inspiration for Ca Mau's literature and arts to continue to develop in today's innovation flow.
The seminar is an opportunity for us to evaluate the half-century journey of formation and development of the province's literature and arts, thereby proposing strategic directions to promote good traditions, adapt to the new context, and meet the requirements of cultural development in the period of integration and digital transformation in the coming time.
On that basis, propose and recommend perfecting institutions, policies and solutions to promote the mobilization and improve the efficiency of using resources for the preservation and development of culture, literature and arts of Ca Mau province, meeting the requirements of building an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, promoting cultural values and Vietnamese people".
At the seminar, delegates discussed the following contents: The impact of culture and arts on officers and soldiers in the provincial Border Guard and the people in the border area, contributing to the management and protection of the province's sovereignty and maritime border security; solutions for Ca Mau culture and arts to develop in the right direction and more effectively, contributing to the development of Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country and homeland; outstanding achievements in the field of Ca Mau culture and arts 50 years after the country's reunification.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien - Standing Deputy Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee expressed gratitude to generations of artists who have made many contributions to the province's literature and arts.
“Artists in the province have made many contributions to the development of the province’s cultural sector, which is the driving force for socio-economic development. In particular, we should pay attention to nurturing and training the talents of young artists to become people’s and excellent artists in the future,” the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee wished.
After the launching period, on April 27, 2025, the Organizing Committee held a meeting to select outstanding literary and artistic works. As a result, 95 works by 101 authors were honored.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province posthumously awarded Certificates of Merit to 18 authors and awarded Certificates of Merit to 77 authors and groups of authors with outstanding literary and artistic works 50 years after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
