According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, within the framework of the State visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on the evening of October 10 (local time), General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (October 10, 1945 - October 10, 2025) held at Kim Il Sung Square, the capital of Pyongyang.
General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un presided over the ceremony.
At Kim Il Sung Square, a volley of artillery was fired before an honor guard marched in. Banners were hung from several large balloons hanging in the central square of Pyongyang.
On the buildings surrounding the square, rows of red hammer and sickle flags of the Workers' Party and the North Korean national flag fluttered.
General Secretary and State President Kim Jong Un delivered a speech at the ceremony, expressing his thanks to guests from all walks of life and international friends who attended the parade and thanked the people of the whole country for doing their best towards a glorious October.
General Secretary and State President Kim Jong Un affirmed that the Workers' Party of Korea always regards the cause of socialism that the people have chosen and aspired to as their own; at the same time, he expressed that the Korean people will forever remember and be grateful to the army that sacrificed their lives and blood for the great history of the Fatherland, for the dignity and honor of the nation, and for the achievements of the revolution.

Following the guidelines set out at the 8th Party Congress, North Korea focuses on socio-economic development through a "people-centered" policy; continuing to prioritize solving urgent people's livelihood issues such as housing and food.
Kim Il Sung Square is located in the center of Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. It was inaugurated in 1954 and named after President Kim Il Sung - the founding leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. This is one of the largest squares in the world, with a capacity of more than 100,000 people.
On the roofs of buildings surrounding the square are stands installed to display banners and slogans. This is also the place to hold military parades, marches and large-scale art performances./.
