
The Congress will focus on the following contents: presenting the Report on the implementation results of the Resolution of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and the directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 term.
Along with that is the presentation of the Review Report on the leadership and direction responsibilities of the City Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the official session, the Politburo and Secretariat also announced and presented decisions appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Inspection Committee and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; Decision appointing delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.

In the afternoon of the same day, delegates will discuss in groups and contribute ideas to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the draft documents of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Previously, at the preparatory session, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - Tran Luu Quang - emphasized that the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress is a political event of special importance to the Party Committee, government and people of the city, attracting the attention of the whole country. He affirmed that the success of the City Party Congress will contribute significantly to the overall success of the National Party Congress.
The Secretary of the City Party Committee asked the delegates to uphold their sense of responsibility, concentrate their intelligence, promote the will and aspirations of more than 366,000 Party members, thoroughly grasp the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Creativity", and make practical contributions to the success of the Congress.
The Party Secretary requested the Congress to create new momentum and fundamental changes in all areas to develop the city more quickly and sustainably. He believed that with the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, daring to think, and knowing how to do that has been nurtured through many generations, the Party Committee and people of Ho Chi Minh City will rise strongly into the new era, building the city into a new growth pole of the Southeast region, a modern international metropolis in Southeast Asia.

In addition to the content of the City Party Congress, delegates also discussed and contributed comments to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
At the preparatory session, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, also presented a summary report summarizing comments on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress. The documents were compiled and accepted based on a wide consultation among Party committees, cadres, Party members and the people.

Mr. Duong Anh Duc said that the majority of opinions highly appreciated the quality of the draft document, which was carefully and tightly prepared, had a clear structure, and a concise and succinct style, demonstrating the spirit of looking straight at the truth, objectively and comprehensively assessing the country's situation. The document demonstrates strategic vision, innovative thinking, and reflects the aspiration for rapid and sustainable national development by 2045.
The preparatory session also elected the congress presidium with 11 members, the congress secretariat with 3 members and the delegate qualification examination committee with 5 members.

Within the framework of the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, at the City Academy of Officials, an Exhibition of Press and Publishing Achievements was held, chaired by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is a key political and cultural activity serving the Congress, aiming to introduce and honor the outstanding achievements of central and city press agencies and publishing units, demonstrating the accompanying role of press and publishing with the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City in the cause of building and developing the City.
The exhibition introduces more than 300 books, press publications, images and unique documents, vividly reflecting the dynamic and creative development of Vietnam's Press and Publishing industry in the digital transformation period. The exhibition space is designed in a modern style, harmoniously combining traditional values and technology, giving the public a comprehensive view of the role of press and publishing in accompanying the development of the City and the country.
The highlight of the exhibition is the art book arrangement area, with models of Nha Rong Wharf, DK1 Platform and Binh Duong Administrative Center. Each project not only demonstrates creativity in display form, but also carries profound symbolic meaning, honoring the revolutionary tradition, indomitable will, spirit of overcoming difficulties and aspirations of the Party Committee, Government and people of Ho Chi Minh City on the path of integration and development.
