This is the first parade after a 6-year hiatus since 2019. This year, more than 4,000 servicemen from the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Border Guard Agency participated, along with more than 200 military technical vehicles, 66 aircraft and helicopters of various types. Each parade block consisted of 156 servicemen and at the end was a military band with 300 musicians.
Right from the beginning of the hour, volunteers distributed Victory Ribbons - a symbol of honoring bravery and remembering heroes in the great war to defend the country - with the aim of preserving them for present and future generations.
The blue silk ribbon, which is also the color of the Kazakh flag, is 30cm long and 3cm wide, with the yellow national emblem decorated in the middle.

The parade was broadcast live on Kazakhstan's national television channels, public LED screens in major cities and the country's Defense Ministry's social media channels.
The parade was followed by a concert celebrating the Holiday with the participation of famous stars and Kazakh art groups.

The parade is an occasion to commemorate the great contributions of the Kazakh people who fought to protect the Fatherland, many of whom sacrificed their lives; at the same time, it aims to educate the younger generation about patriotism and gratitude for the sacrifices of their ancestors. This is also an occasion to demonstrate the strength and readiness of the Kazakh armed forces to protect the Fatherland.
